A message from our CEO
FY24 marked the 7th year since Activate Perth's inception, during which we achieved numerous milestones and solid gains.
This year demonstrated the resilience of Perth’s population in building a vibrant and energetic CBD, with Activate Perth playing a pivotal role. We supported the activation of 23 tenancies, creating over 30 direct jobs and more than 100 additional support roles in areas like trades, cleaning, transportation and administration.
Our initiatives are supported by the generosity of local property owners, who contributed approximately $511,000 in space through our Fill This Space program. The engagement of property owners, lease agents and organisations such as the Property Council WA is essential in enhancing Perth CBD’s vibrancy.
We extend our gratitude to our sponsors, the Government of Western Australia and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, for their essential support. We also thank the City of Perth and Lotterywest for their contributions to our events. Special thanks go to our Board members, led by Chair Kristi Dempster, for their valuable time and resources.
Looking ahead to FY25 and beyond, I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. We are on track to meet our current goals, and I am eager to see how we can further elevate Perth’s cultural and retail landscape. As the new CEO of Activate Perth since August 2024, I am energised by the potential for growth and collaboration that awaits us.
